Vajro only charges success fees on their enterprise plan and only on in app sales that are above $100,000 per month. It will likely be cheaper than Tapcart, but it is template based and will be more limited in terms of customizations than Tapcart. Vajro offers live selling features which Tapcart doesn't, but is still working on developing the ability to add custom code (Html & CSS) to your app.
Vajro was founded by Baskar Agneeswaran in Chennai, India in 2018. Before Vajro, Baskar was working on a price comparison app. The price comparison app didn’t work out, but through that experience, Baskar and the founding team learned they were really good at app development, and there was a huge number of eCommerce stores that needed help developing apps. The resulting company was Vajro.
Vajro is a software tool that allows you to develop a custom mobile app for your Shopify store.
How does Vajro work?
Vajro uses Shopify’s APIs and SDKs to create native apps for Android and iOS that work with Shopify’s existing data structures.
Why not use Vajro?
Vajro is template based and will be more limited in terms of customizations than competitors like Tapcart. Vajro offers live selling features which Tapcart doesn't, but is still working on developing the ability to add custom code (Html & CSS) to your app.
What are the benefits of an app?
There are a lot of benefits to having an app:
Faster download speeds vs mobile web
Owned real estate on customer’s phone
Free to send push notifications
Does Vajro work with non-Shopify platforms like WooCommerce or BigCommerce?
No. Unfortunately, Vajro only works for Shopify and Shopify Plus merchants. If you want to develop an app for a non-Shopify store, you will have to use a competitor.
